It was hard to describe this project in CHIRNSIDE PARK at the time! Was it a "repair" Was it an "addition" or was it a "delayed completion?"
Regardless of how it was described at the time, there was work to be done! The upper level deck was completed and occupied! It was supported by timber posts encased in brickwork on the lower third. The bottom level deck did not exist at all.....Yet some one had begun the basic frame work....but quickly realised they were out of their depth and therefore abandoned any further efforts. It was time to bring in the professionals to fix this embarrassing problem. We have seen this embarrassment many times.
